KOŃ… TYLKO KOŃ

“Koń… tylko koń” is the result of research and an exercise in economizing materials. The piece evolves and develops entirely by exploiting the elements present in the initial gesture, a sort of wave that rises and crashes into a brief percussive impulse. The title plays with the meaning of the word “koń” (horse in Polish) with the expression “cavallone,” a term from the regional dialect that refers to massive waves during a sea storm.

Technical notes:

The piece is designed to be performed acoustically.
Depending on the characteristics of the performance venue, amplification is possible, provided it preserves the acoustic sound quality as much as possible and does not alter the dynamic balance between the instruments.
